The delivery of consistent, quality childcare is integral to the mission of MFHL. Students may utilize the on-site, fully licensed Christian child care center while they attend classes and during residency. The Child Development Center at My Father's House offers innovative, hands-on learning-through-play instruction in literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts, and technology for pre-school children aged 1 month to 5 years.
The WEE Learn Christian curriculum encourages children to achieve developmental milestones and uses scripture to teach important concepts for spiritual growth.
The Mary Louise Child Development Center at My Father’s House Lubbock offers 7,600 square feet, including six classrooms, of segregated space for this state-licensed operation. An atrium playground protects the children from external risk. Living and Learning Center students may utilize the on-site Christian child care center operated by My Father’s House Lubbock without charge. This center supports women while they attend classes and during residency. Additionally, the public and neighborhood children may be enrolled in limited openings.
The Child Development Center forms a portion of the vocational education program for MFHL residents, providing more detailed instruction in child care requirements, supervision and child development. The Texas Tech University School of Nursing, a valued partner with My Father’s House Lubbock, conducts child development assessments on each enrolled child on an annual basis.
