Corporate, Church, & Foundation Giving

We seek your financial support on behalf of MFHL, Corp. d/b/a My Fathers House Lubbock. This ministry is worthy of your support due to its valuable contribution to individuals and the community. My Father’s House Lubbock is in the business of investing in families, educating women across social and economic barriers, fostering human dignity, and empowering women to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Our focus on Christianity, education, health, and human services, child development, and literacy echo efforts of the communities, churches, foundations, and individuals who support this ministry.

We need your support for continuation of our programs and we ask for contributions to the education and residency of women and their families.  The ministry of My Father’s House Lubbock enjoys support from across the nation, across the state, and especially in the local and regional area.

My Father’s House Lubbock is a 501(c)(3) designated organization. Most charitable gifts qualify for maximum tax advantage under federal law. You can give cash, appreciated stocks, real estate, or other assets. 

Corporate Support – Direct corporate giving as well as corporate foundations supplement funding the human services, education, and child care focus of My Father’s House Lubbock. Also, My Father’s House Lubbock has participated with corporate matching fund efforts of employees with their employers.

Endowment – My Father’s House Lubbock has established an endowment fund administered by the Lubbock Area Foundation. The endowment provides a vehicle to build, over time, substantial endowed funds through contributions both large and small and put them to work. Created in 1981, the Lubbock Area Foundation works to enhance philanthropy and strengthen the sense of community in the Lubbock area. Family, trusts, estate, memorial gifts - Estate gifts may reduce taxable values through a charitable bequest or other planned gift. Memorial gifts are recognized to the donor and the family of the honored person. Such gifts can create a personal legacy and honor a life or lives with enduring and influential effect.

Churches – Local and regional churches provide monthly budgeted support and periodic special offerings to support My Father’s House Lubbock.  This ecumenical ministry relies on all Christian religions for financial support, volunteers, referrals of women in need, and prayerful intercession.

Foundations – National, state, regional, and local foundations subsidize specific elements and programs as well as general operations of My Father’s House Lubbock. Generous contributions from family foundations, religious foundations, educational foundations, and general charitable foundations make the services provided by My Father’s House Lubbock possible. Individuals – Contributions from individuals, regular monthly donors, and periodic contributions of money, supplies, food, and equipment & furniture are vital to the ministry of My Father’s House Lubbock. More than half of the financial and in-kind support to My Father’s House Lubbock is realized due to individual contributions. Additionally, over 230 individuals contribute volunteer time in support of classroom instruction, mentors, Bible study, child care & tutoring, newsletters, gardening, developmental assessments, curriculum development & assessment, and administrative and public relations tasks. Individuals and groups utilize the facilities and services as well as make referrals of women-in-need.
