The Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC) provides women with a hand up in sustaining successful employment and meeting life goals. Women receive training in both life skills (rearing children, budgeting money) and job readiness (computer training, customer service skills). Each woman is involved in Bible study and matched with a trained Christian woman who will be her mentor as she travels the road from dependency to self-sufficiency.
The Christian Women’s Job Corps on the My Father’s House Lubbock campus is open to Lubbock area women. Women living in the residential program participate in a 12-week course.
Improved communication, self-awareness, goal setting and time management skills give our graduates the competitive advantage to find employment in the greater Lubbock area. Partnerships with West Texas employers also provide participants a conduit to full-time employment, although no guarantee of employment can be made.
CWJC classes are scheduled for both day and evening and may provide the following instruction:
