More About the Christian Women’s Job Corps

One area of our educational program is the Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC). This is a 12-week program where any woman, 18 or older, can receive training that helps women learn about career callings, developing study habits and grow in their relationship with God.

These classes are perfect for teaching each woman how God designed them for a certain career and for helping them develop habits of studying and writing papers. The classes serve in preparation for the ACCUPLACER Test for college entrance or the GED test. These classes are offered to women in our resident and non-resident program.

Here is a list of the CWJC classes:

Bible Study
Communication
Self Defense Career
English Math
Nutrition School and Education
Dress for the Best Body Works
Anger Management Boundaries
Money Matters to God Praise and Worship
Keeper of the Home Parenting
Personal Discovery Making Marriage Work
Computers and computer lab

We offer daytime classes Monday through Friday from 8:30-3 p.m. and evening classes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. Everyone in the CWJC program can attend college while participating.

My Father’s House Lubbock is an ecumenical ministry that provides a way for women who are poverty-impacted, homeless, abused or at-risk to take a new direction in their lives.
